Labor and Delivery Nurse, located in the community hospital setting, providing specialized care to obstetric patients and their newborns. This role involves managing antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care within a Level I nursery, supporting both routine and high-risk obstetric cases.

Job Details

  • Position Description: RN/Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum. Shift: 13 weeks, 3 x 12-hour nights, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., minimum 36 hours per week. Ratios: 1:3.
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, 3 years of experience, community hospital experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications, experience with labor management, high-risk delivery assistance, postpartum and neonatal care.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with vaginal deliveries, c-sections, postpartum care, neonatal assessments, and procedures such as amnioinfusion and cervical cerclage. Float may be required between departments, units, and facilities.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours/week, with 2 mandatory on-call shifts per 6-week schedule, including holiday commitments (Thanksgiving or Christmas, plus 1-2 minor holidays).
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit all compliance documentation and complete required modules prior to start.
