Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1845-0715
• Assignment length of 18 weeks
• Must be flexible with scheduling as no block schedules are offered
• Floating to the Post-Partum unit required based on patient care needs
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drips and C-Section support required

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum of 3 years of L&D experience in a unit with comparable volume and acuity
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, C-Section circulating/scrubbing, and vaginal delivery assistance required
• Experience managing high-risk OB conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and PPH preferred
• Prior charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum phases
• Support high-risk OB patients including those with pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and multiple gestation
• Assist with neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and newborn resuscitation
• Participate in fetal monitoring, including EFM and IUPC placement and calibration
• Facility performs over 300 births per month
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, must be disclosed prior to consideration and cannot be modified afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local candidates
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
