Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit with 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average 7 deliveries daily, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Magnet-designated acute care hospital with Level II Trauma designation and 407 staffed beds
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
• Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Current Alaska RN license or ability to obtain (pending licenses accepted for submission; must complete application within 48 hours of signing)
• Minimum 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
• Epic charting system experience required
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
