Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. Schedule may alternate between nights and days every 4 weeks based on facility needs.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average of 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 high-risk antepartum and induction patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with free parking and scrubs provided
• Charge experience preferred or training available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission, but must be in hand for final offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Ability to float to similar units within scope as needed
