Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 40-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:
- High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ births per month and 31 beds
- Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms, supporting midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services
- Diverse patient population with experience caring for substance recovery patients and community care clinic referrals
- Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing complete newborn care including assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K administration
- Circulate for cesarean sections in fast-paced surgical environment
- Float opportunities to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities for professional growth
Requirements:
- Active Washington RN license or Compact license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- High-risk obstetric experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
- Epic charting system experience required; electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX) experience required
- Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (non-negotiable requirement)
- Must be able to provide complete newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and comprehensive newborn assessments (non-negotiable requirement)
- Experience with high-risk procedures including magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, heparin administration, and anticoagulation therapy
- Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities as needed
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
