Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 40-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

  • High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month and 31 beds
  • Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
  • 4 operating rooms with full surgical support and interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Comprehensive experience with all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment
  • Opportunity to work with advanced maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrical cases
  • First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

  • Active Washington State RN license or Compact license
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • High-risk obstetrical experience required
  • Must be proficient in circulating for cesarean sections (hard requirement)
  • Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care including assessments, Vitamin K injections, and eye prophylaxis (hard requirement)
  • Epic electronic charting system experience required, including electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX)
  • BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
  • Experience with patient ratios of 1:2
  • Ability to float to Postpartum, Antepartum units, and potentially to sister facilities as needed
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
