Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
Highlights:
- High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month and 31 beds
- Comprehensive maternal care including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
- Four operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced teaching environment
- Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
- Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines with emphasis on high-risk obstetrical experience
- 91-day assignment with 40 hours of orientation provided
Requirements:
- Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required; high-risk experience strongly preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
- Epic charting system experience and electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX) required
- Must be proficient in circulating for cesarean sections (hard requirement)
- Must function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide complete newborn care including assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections (hard requirement)
- Experience with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
- Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities as needed
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
