Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission; compact license required
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate preferred/required for consideration
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong background in high-risk OB and maternal-newborn care
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed
• Willingness to float to related units based on skill set and unit needs
• Reliable transportation is required for this travel nursing assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Monitor fetal status, recognize changes in maternal and fetal condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Support high-risk obstetric patients, including antepartum patients and those with maternal complications
• Perform newborn assessment, couplet care, thermoregulation support, and neonatal resuscitation as needed
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and obstetric infusions according to clinical protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and babies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Adapt to unit needs and float between labor, mother/baby, and antepartum areas when needed
• Deliver attentive, patient-centered care in a fast-paced and supportive clinical environment
