• Patient Population: Women of childbearing age and newborns

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license with compact or state licensure in hand at submission
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• 2 years of overall nursing experience preferred
• Current AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• High-risk obstetrics experience strongly preferred
• Ability to float to Postpartum and High-Risk Antepartum as needed
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative women’s health environment
• Must be available for rotating unit needs, including on-call if canceled
• Must have a vehicle for this travel nursing assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring patients and newborns
• Monitor fetal status and escalate changes appropriately
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and obstetric emergencies
• Perform postpartum assessments and newborn care
• Administer medications and therapies according to unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
• Float between Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, and Antepartum based on unit needs
• Provide patient education and emotional support to families during labor and recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
