Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience with high-risk OB, postpartum, and antepartum care strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced women’s services environment
• Willingness to float between Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and Antepartum based on unit needs
• Reliable transportation required for the assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, recovery care, and high-risk deliveries
• Support postpartum and antepartum patients as needed
• Perform couplet care, newborn assessments, and thermoregulation support
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Document accurately and thoroughly in Epic
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and unit needs while maintaining a high standard of care
