Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts; Mid shifts (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM) or Night shifts (3:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Every other weekend required. On-call required on scheduled days if cancelled. 1:1 patient ratios. Contract duration of 16 weeks.

Highlights:

• Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with a Level III NICU and 200-300 births per month

• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience required
• High-risk OB experience including magnesium sulfate therapy, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, and hemorrhage/shock protocols
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, cesarean section circulation, and vaginal delivery assistance
• Experience with antepartum care, couplet care, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Ability to float between Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, and Antepartum units as needed
• Willingness to float to sister facilities within the health system when required
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for transportation
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
