Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (Night shift 3:00 AM - 3:00 PM or Day shift 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM); every other weekend required; on-call as needed on scheduled shifts; 112-day assignment through February 15, 2027

Highlights:

• Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with a Level III NICU
• High-volume Labor and Delivery unit with 200-300 births per month
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 couplets depending on acuity
• Epic charting system with OBIX fetal monitoring
• Opportunity to work with high-risk obstetric patients and complex deliveries
• Potential to float between Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and Antepartum units based on patient needs

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting experience required
• High-risk OB experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in labor support, vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and recovery, couplet care, and neonatal resuscitation
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, fetal monitoring, and hemorrhage management
• Must have reliable transportation; floating to multiple regional facilities may be required
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
