Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220–$2,340

- Duration: 26 weeks; 13-week travel nursing contracts may also be considered
- Schedule: Three night shifts per week; 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Unit Environment: 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms; typical staffing ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3
- Float Expectations: May float to Postpartum or another nearby affiliated facility based on experience and operational needs
- Holiday Coverage: Holiday participation is required; time-off and scheduling requests should be submitted during the application process
Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Washington; compact license must be in hand when applicable
- BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- ACLS certification preferred
- Current Epic charting experience required
- Strong experience with high-risk and low-risk labor, antepartum care, obstetric triage, and delivery support
- Ability to provide nursing care for adolescents, adults, and infants
- First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
- Two professional references covering at least one year of recent experience may be required during the compliance process
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing labor, preterm labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Perform obstetric triage, assessments, fetal monitoring, patient education, and care coordination
- Assist with routine and high-risk deliveries, including circulating for C-sections and recovering postoperative patients
- Support antepartum care, couplet care, transition nursery activities, and gynecologic surgical procedures
- Manage and monitor epidural, PCA, syringe, insulin, heparin, and magnesium sulfate therapies according to clinical protocols
- Administer blood and blood products and provide care involving central lines, drains, wound vacs, and other specialized equipment
- Perform or assist with sterile vaginal examinations and IUPC placement and calibration
- Respond to emergencies, including cardioversion, defibrillation, and care involving cooling or warming blankets
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic while collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Float to designated units or nearby affiliated facilities when needed while maintaining safe, patient-centered care
