• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required as needed
• Floating: May float to postpartum, antepartum, or nearby sister units based on skills and unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Compact RN license required for consideration
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity maternity care environment
• Ability to commit to holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to laboring patients and newborns
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Function as a baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Perform circulating duties in the OR during cesarean deliveries
• Deliver newborn care including assessments, eye care, vitamin K injections, and thermoregulation support
• Monitor fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and respond to changes appropriately
• Support maternal care including magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin management as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe outcomes
• Adapt to changing patient needs in a high-volume Labor & Delivery environment
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit standards and best practices
