- Schedule: 4x12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
- Unit Setting: High-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery
- Environment: Dynamic urban Seattle healthcare setting with easy access to dining, transit, and city amenities
- Float Expectations: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, or nearby sister units as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- High-risk obstetric nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environments
- Ability to circulate and provide newborn care during delivery
- Comfort with electronic fetal monitoring and labor support procedures
- Willingness to work every other weekend and select holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum transition
- Circulate for C-sections and support a safe, efficient delivery room workflow
- Act as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
- Perform newborn assessments, including eyes, thighs, and vital newborn care interventions
- Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
- Administer and manage common Labor & Delivery medications and therapies as directed
- Support high-risk deliveries and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe outcomes
- Float to Postpartum and Antepartum areas when needed to support patient care needs
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy, high-volume obstetric unit
