Travel to Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood for a high-acuity Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse opportunity. This L&D travel nursing job is ideal for an experienced obstetrics RN who thrives in fast-paced maternal health settings and enjoys supporting patients through labor, delivery, postpartum transition, and immediate newborn care.
Join a collaborative maternal-child health team in a busy, high-volume obstetrical unit. This role requires strong high-risk Labor & Delivery experience, comfort circulating in the OR, and the ability to provide immediate newborn care during delivery.

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270

- Weekend/Holiday Commitment: Rotating weekends and 3 of 5 major holidays as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: Approximately 36 hours
- Floating: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, or other nearby maternal-child health units based on need
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at submission; compact license accepted
- At least 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
- High-risk obstetric experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be able to circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and obstetric procedures
- Must be able to provide immediate newborn care during delivery
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity labor and delivery environment
- Strong communication, assessment, and prioritization skills
- Comfort with floating to related women’s health and maternal-child units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Circulate for cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
- Serve as the baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
- Perform newborn assessments, including eyes and thighs, and administer standard newborn care
- Monitor and support high-risk obstetric patients and respond to changes in condition
- Assist with fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Administer and monitor medications such as magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin as ordered
- Support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
- Work closely with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary support teams to promote safe outcomes
