• Floating: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, or nearby sister facilities as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-acuity acute care environments
• Epic charting experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS and AWHONN Advanced are preferred
• Must be comfortable with circulating and newborn care responsibilities
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate women’s health care to laboring patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Circulate for cesarean sections and support procedural workflow in the OR
• Serve as baby nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Perform newborn assessments, including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and initial stabilization
• Administer newborn care tasks such as eyes/thighs and Vitamin K injections as assigned
• Monitor and support patients receiving medications such as magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, and rapid response to changing patient needs
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Adapt to floating assignments within related women’s health and newborn care areas as needed
