Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a Women's Care department
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00), various shifts throughout the week
• Patient ratios of 1:4, with 1:1-2 for laboring patients and 1:3-4 for postpartum
• Uses Epic for charting
• Facility averages 100-200 births per month
• Every-other weekend work required, subject to unit needs
• On-call requirement of one shift every 6 weeks
• Floating within scope required, including potential floating to sister facilities within the North region

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS certification required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, high-risk delivery assistance, and fetal monitoring
• Experience with postpartum and newborn care procedures

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages
• Manage high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and VBAC/TOL patients
• Support breastfeeding and lactation, and provide discharge teaching to new parents
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Local candidates accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers considered if experience requirements are met
• Previous UCHealth employees may be subject to eligibility restrictions
