Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive care environment with 4 operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries including high-risk obstetrics
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing complete newborn care through transfer to postpartum
• Circulate for cesarean sections and perform newborn assessments, vitamin K injections, and eye prophylaxis
• Six-month travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation and competitive compensation package

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience with high-risk obstetrics required
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Must have experience functioning as Baby Nurse during deliveries and providing complete newborn care (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with high-risk, fast-paced environments and patient ratios of 1:2
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities as needed
• Ability to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
