Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms and support for high-risk obstetrical patients
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and adult recovery services
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team with interpretation services and adherence to AWHONN staffing guidelines
• 26-week travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered at same rate

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetrical experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Competency in newborn assessment, vitamin K injections, eye prophylaxis administration, and newborn care procedures
• Experience with amnioinfusion, anticoagulation therapy, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, and epidural anesthesia management
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Labor and Delivery or applicable units
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
