Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive care including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Four operating rooms with full surgical support for cesarean sections and other procedures
• Interdisciplinary team support with interpretation services and adherence to AWHONN staffing guidelines
• 26-week travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetrical experience required – must be comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (required)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (required)
• Competency in newborn assessments, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration required
• Experience with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
