Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 patient rooms
• Comprehensive experience with all types of deliveries including high-risk obstetrics, 4 operating rooms on-site
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing complete newborn care including assessments, vitamin K injections, and eye prophylaxis
• Circulate for cesarean sections and provide immediate postpartum care in a fast-paced environment
• Six-month travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation and interdisciplinary support including interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; must be comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience and electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2, amnioinfusion, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and anticoagulation therapy
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially to sister facilities for Labor and Delivery coverage
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
