Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Flexible 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required (6 weekends per contract: Saturday and Sunday for day shifts, Friday through Sunday for night shifts). One pre-approved time off period available.

Highlights:

  • LDRP unit with 14-15 beds and a daily census of 14 patients
  • Facility performs 100-200 births per month with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Epic charting system in use
  • 24-36 hour orientation provided
  • Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3
  • 13-week assignment (91 days) with potential for extension

Requirements:

  • Active Texas or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be accepted
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
