• Setting: Level IV Labor & Delivery unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 11/16/2026
• Shift: Day shift, 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 on days and nights
• Schedule: May include floating to other units as needed
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Required, medical exemptions only

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, and/or NCC C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong IV start skills and hands-on Labor & Delivery experience required
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care setting
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor-level reference

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
• Monitor labor progress and respond to changes in maternal and fetal status
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean section circulation, and recovery care
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, and fluid management
• Support fetal monitoring, NSTs, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Deliver care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Support patients with breastfeeding education, pain management, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other support services
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols
• Float to other appropriate hospital units within the organization as needed
