• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing

• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Unit: Level IV Labor & Delivery
• Patient Volume: Approximately 450 deliveries per month
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Floating: May be required to float to other units within the organization as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV starts and core Labor & Delivery procedures
• Strong clinical background in high-acuity obstetrical and perinatal care
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leadership role
• ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education preferred
• Must be able to complete required compliance steps promptly prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and skilled care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Assist with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care
• Monitor fetal well-being using external and internal fetal monitoring as appropriate
• Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including recovery care
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and manage IV therapies and blood products per protocol
• Recognize and respond to changes in maternal or fetal status quickly and effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary support teams to promote excellent outcomes
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established unit workflows
