Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a high-risk unit at a teaching hospital, requiring MO or compact RN license, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Details
- High-Risk Labor & Delivery Unit with 12 private labor/delivery rooms, 6 dedicated OB triage rooms, and 2 cesarean OR suites
- Works closely with High-Risk Antepartum and Antepartum Units located on the same floor
- Postpartum and recovery care handled on a separate unit, allowing L&D to focus on acute obstetric and surgical patients
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
- Required to work every third weekend
- Call required: 3 twelve-hour call shifts per scheduling period
- Epic EMR experience required
- Patient ratio of 1:2
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, high-risk experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, FHM, STABLE
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care for high-acuity obstetric patients including high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies
- Collaborate with on-site Maternal-Fetal Medicine attendings, fellows, and OB/GYN residents in an academic teaching environment
- Dedicated social work services available to support patients and families with complex needs
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position
- Clinicians cannot work more than 1 year as a traveler without taking a 6-month break before returning
