• End Date: 1/13/2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Schedule Note: 36-hour or 48-hour weekly option available
• Floating: May float to Postpartum as needed
• Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend
• Orientation: Onsite orientation provided

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• BLS, FHM, and NRP required
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred/required per unit needs
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients strongly preferred
• Ability to work in OB Triage, Postpartum, and Special Care Nursery environments
• Comfort with floating within scope to like units as needed
• RTO must be listed at time of submittal
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients, including high-risk pregnancies such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes
• Support patients at 34 weeks gestation and greater
• Assist with C-sections, external cephalic versions, and other obstetric procedures
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Deliver postpartum nursing care and support safe transitions for mother and baby
• Care for OB triage patients and manage evaluations for labor admission
• Support Level II Special Care Nursery needs as assigned
• Use clinical judgment, teamwork, and strong communication to ensure quality patient care
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor, delivery, and recovery process
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
