Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit caring for high-acuity laboring patients
• Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with holidays scheduled as needed
• Floating required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC, and potentially to any Cone Health campus
• Uses Epic EMR, along with Triton and SurgiCount systems

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and management of complications such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and placenta previa
• Experience with pain management modalities including epidural anesthesia and nitrous oxide
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (pass/fail, two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• No open background check cases permitted
• Third-party education verification required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients including fetal monitoring, delivery assistance, and postpartum management
• Support high-risk obstetric cases including VBAC trials, multiple gestations, and hemorrhage management
• Assist with neonatal care immediately following delivery, including APGAR scoring and resuscitation support
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• RTO must be submitted with initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
• Orientation includes non-billable unit-based modules averaging 2-4 hours
