American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Topeka, Kansas.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 21, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:00). Flexible 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Every third weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week period). Float to Postpartum as needed.

Highlights:

  • High-risk labor and delivery unit with OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
  • Care for laboring patients with high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and gestations 34 weeks and greater
  • Comprehensive obstetric experience including C-Sections, External Cephalic Versions, and vaginal deliveries
  • First-time travelers welcome with 36-hour orientation provided
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • 13-week assignment with diverse patient population including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults

Requirements:

  • Active Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
  • AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Must reside outside 50-mile radius from location
