Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NV RN license and 2+ years of L&D experience.

Details

LDRP unit providing Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery care
15-bed unit with 6 L&D beds and 9 postpartum beds
Level 1 nursery with postpartum couplet care
Adult and newborn patient population
Patient ratios per AWHONN standards
Uses Omnicell medication dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE Centricity fetal heart rate monitoring
EHR system is Centricity/MEDHOST
Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Every other weekend required
Potential to float to other departments based on patient census and staffing needs
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active NV RN license required
Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required
Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Experience with SVD (no VBAC), Cesarean sections, OB triage, and nonstress testing required
Experience in postpartum and nursery care, including newborn procedures required
Experience managing hemorrhages, fetal monitoring interventions, and hypertensive crisis patients (pre-eclampsia/eclampsia) required

Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery settings
Manage common diagnoses including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, pre-eclampsia, cesarean sections, inductions, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia
Team environment values knowledgeable, flexible, hardworking team players
Street clothes are not acceptable attire
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for a travel assignment
Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
