Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring KS or compact license, 1 year of recent L&D experience, and AWHONN/NRP certification.

Details

• Delivery Room unit within a hospital setting with 26 beds and 112 staff
• Day shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 14 RNs, 2-3 surgical techs, and 2 unit clerks
• Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 12 RNs, 2 surgical techs, and 1 unit clerk
• Patient ratios: 1:1 high risk labor and c-sections, 1:2 antepartum/PPROM/PTL on mag/PP on mag, 1:3 PP mag no baby and outpatients
• Uses Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, and GE CPN monitors
• Documentation via Meditech and CPN EMR systems
• 12-hour day shift schedule from 7A to 7P
• Self-scheduling available for staff
• Typical procedures include c-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, and Doppler use

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital L&D RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Advanced 9th Edition) certification required
• AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced) or NCC-EFM fetal monitoring certification required
• Circulating c-section experience preferred
• High risk LDR experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
