Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• May be required to float to other units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Skilled in IV starts, phlebotomy, and administration of blood/blood products
• Experience with central line maintenance (CVC/PICC) preferred
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Support high-risk antepartum patients and assist with neonatal care in the delivery room
• Perform fetal monitoring, including EFM and IUPC placement/calibration
• Assist with C-section circulation and recovery, and manage epidural pain protocols
• Administer medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy
• Facility manages a high-volume delivery caseload
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment only after 6+ months away from the facility
• Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for travel assignments
• RTO must be requested at time of submission and built into contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
