Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a rotating weekend night shift requiring an active TX or compact RN license and 2+ years of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 4 LDR beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for pitocin patients and 2:1 for other assignments
• No unit secretary or tech support available
• Uses Meditech/CPN documentation system
• 13-week assignment with a rotating weekend shift schedule, every other weekend required
• Shift runs 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• No floating required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary licenses not accepted
• BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
• AWHONN certification required (intermediate or advanced) or NCCEFM
• 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience required
• Experience in labor and delivery, recovery, immediate newborn care, and golden hour baby care required
• PACU c-section experience required
• Must be able to circulate c-sections
• Ability to scrub c-sections preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including labor support, delivery, recovery, and immediate newborn care
• Deliver patient-centered care using AIDET and bedside shift report practices
• Facility provides scrubs; hair, nails, tattoos, and piercings must meet unit dress code standards
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
