Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Position Description

This role involves providing exceptional patient care while performing specialized radiologic exams in the interventional radiology department. The technician will be expected to work in both scrub and circulator capacities.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures, including thrombectomy and angioplasty.
• Maintain a high level of technical proficiency in neuro and CT imaging techniques.
• Participate in weekend and on-call coverage as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and protocols during procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Massachusetts is required.
• Registration as a Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Experience and knowledge of GE and Siemens imaging equipment is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of thrombectomy devices and interventional procedures such as TIPS is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in both scrub and circulator roles is preferred.

Contract Details

• Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly (excluding any on-call time worked).
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays (excluding holidays).
