Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology department located within the operating room with 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
  • Additional procedures performed in a radiology room and CT suite
  • Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
  • Procedures include cerebral angiography and stroke intervention, body angiography and intervention (excluding cardiac), Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography, biopsies (fluoro, CT, ultrasound guided), venous access (ports, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and various drain placements
  • 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend coverage required only for on-call rotation
  • On-call required 5-7 days per month
  • No floating required to like units
  • Uses EPIC for charting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
  • BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
  • ACLS and ARRT (VI) preferred
  • WA State license required if applicable
  • Contrast administration experience required
  • Experience with angiograms, venograms, and venous access required
  • Preferred experience with C-Arm, biopsies, ablations, and kyphoplasty
  • Proficient in sterile technique, equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
  • Experience with PACS and Siemens equipment preferred
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting

Additional Information

  • Facility is a Level II Trauma Center including outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services
  • Scrubs of any color accepted, except reddish orange
  • First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
  • Local candidates within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent, travel, or per-diem staff
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, with limited flexibility for changes after offer
  • Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • May be required to float between sister facilities within the same state
