Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit located within the operating room, featuring 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
  • Procedures also performed in a dedicated radiology room and CT suite
  • Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
  • Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, angiography and intervention of all body parts except the heart, Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography and intervention, biopsies (fluoro, CT, ultrasound-guided), venous access (ports, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and drain placements (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call requirement of 5-7 days per month, including weekend call as needed
  • No floating required between like units, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
  • Charting completed in EPIC

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
  • BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ACLS and ARRT (VI) preferred
  • WA State License required if applicable
  • Contrast administration experience required
  • Experience with angiograms, nephrostograms, and venous access required
  • Preferred experience with C-arm equipment, biopsies, ablations, and kyphoplasty
  • Skills in venous access, port accessing/management, embolization, gastrostomy, biliary drainage, nephrostomy, and stent placement
  • Experience with vascular procedures such as angioplasty, EVAR, TEVAR, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy preferred
  • Experience with neurological procedures such as carotid angiography, embolization, and vertebroplasty preferred
  • Proficiency in equipment setup, access site prep, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing
  • Experience with PACS and Siemens equipment preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience

Additional Information

  • Level II Trauma Center offering outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services across 571 total staffed beds for both campuses
  • Scrubs of any color accepted except reddish-orange
  • Parking is facility paid
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required prior to start
  • Local candidates are not accepted for this position
