Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Technologist in the Intra Clinical (Interventional Radiology) specialty at a healthcare facility in Atlanta, GA. This role involves assisting with advanced and complex vascular procedures, utilizing specialized devices, troubleshooting imaging equipment, and supporting high-risk interventions. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment with a focus on patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic or cardiovascular technology; 1 year experience as an Interventional Vascular Specialist, Interventional Radiology Technologist, or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist; ARRT-R (with VI or CV credential) certification or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist); BLS certification; travel experience preferred; 3-5 years' experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex procedures such as pulmonary thrombectomy, AAA, TEVAR, FEVAR; familiarity with specialty devices such as laser, Penumbra, Inari, Shockwave; knowledge of vascular anatomy, sterile technique, and radiation safety.
- Additional Responsibilities: Assists with advanced vascular procedures including multiple wire exchanges, long wires, OTW balloons; uses specialty devices; circulates, monitors, and scrubs in procedures; troubleshoots imaging equipment; participates in procedural charging and supply management; manages access site and understands hematoma management; communicates effectively within medical teams and patients.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to start as soon as possible and be available for a 13-week assignment.
