Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3+ years of IR experience for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position requiring KS licensure.

Details

• Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures department
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required, approximately 2 weeknights per week and every 5th weekend covering two locations
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities, including assisting in X-ray when IR is not busy
• Uses GE Innova IGS, PACS, and EPIC EMR
• Performs a wide range of IR procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placements, biopsies, drainage procedures, IVC filter placement/removal, and vertebroplasty

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) preferred
• Kansas license (LRT) required; license required if applicable
• Both Kansas and Missouri (or compact) licenses must be in hand at time of consideration due to floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Proficient in sterile technique, room circulating, scrubbing, and equipment setup
• Skilled in vascular access, central line care/maintenance, and vascular closure systems
• Experience with fluoroscopy and PACS systems

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, maintaining sterile fields, and stocking supplies
• Follows isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and participates in rapid response/code team activities
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers accepted
• No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days permitted
• Returning staff must observe an 18-month tenure policy with a required 3-month break in service
