Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Trauma Level I hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of recent IR experience and ARRT R certification.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology department performing special procedures
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call required including nights and weekends
  • Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
  • Charting completed in Epic
  • Trauma Level I facility

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent IR/Cardiology-Interventional Radiology experience required within the past 12 months with no employment gaps greater than 90 days
  • BLS and ARRT R certifications required; ARRT VI preferred
  • License required if applicable, both Kansas and Missouri or a compact license must be held at time of consideration due to potential floating requirements
  • Trauma Level I hospital experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Proficient in Special Procedures including Adrenal Angiography, Angioplasty, Embolization, Carotid Angiography, Stent Placement, Central Venous Access/Port Placement, Dialysis Graft Interventions (fistulograms/declots), Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, and Upper/Lower Extremity Angiography
  • Chemoembolization, Vertebroplasty, and TIPS experience preferred
  • Skilled in equipment setup, access site prep, and acting as room circulator
  • Experience with Siemens equipment and PACS system
  • Ultrasound skills preferred
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and sterile technique required
  • Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or above and one charge-level, both from within the past year

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment and inventory maintenance, supply stocking, and room circulation duties
  • Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this role
  • Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, finalized at time of consideration
  • Returning staff must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of continuous work, and permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
