Must-Have:
Strong understanding of human anatomy.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records.
Proficiency with Radiology Information Systems and image storage.
Knowledge of advanced IR computer applications.
Strong understanding of radiation safety.
Demonstrated productivity, teamwork, and independent work capability.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Description:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist independently performs interventional procedures.
They utilize proper techniques and safe administration of contrast media.
The technologist works within their licensed scope in medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture.
This role coordinates patient flow and supports IR operations.
The technologist exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in optimal condition.
They will have on-call responsibilities and support other IR related functions based on departmental needs.
This position requires the ability to work in the IR suite or IR procedures in the OR five days a week.
Call is required weeknights from 5 PM to 7 AM every third week and every third weekend for 24-hour coverage.
Scrub color must be hospital issued OR scrubs.
