Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care/Step Down unit requiring recent pulmonary thoracic step-down experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Pulmonary Thoracic Intermediate/Step Down unit
• Patient population includes intermediate medical patients, high risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery patients
• Patients may be on RA, BIPAP, or Optiflow respiratory support
• 12-hour night shift schedule, varying 7P-7A, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA state or compact) required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty required

Additional Information

• Provide step-down level nursing care to a variety of complex surgical and respiratory patient populations
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Former permanent staff returning as non-local travelers must have a 2-year break in service
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
