Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse position is available in a prominent healthcare organization. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care within a dynamic unit that manages a variety of acute patient needs including thoracic surgeries, cardiac procedures, and complex medical cases. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong telemetry skills and collaborates effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in an inpatient setting within the last 3 years, proficiency in accessing and managing ports, arterial lines, chest tubes, and telemetry monitoring, current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, and willingness to pass a telemetry exam prior to cleared start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in thoracic, cardiac, or transplant nursing, and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients, including those recovering from thoracic surgeries and cardiac procedures. The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including respiratory services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams. Traveler must be willing to float as needed and have at least two years of recent acute care experience in their specialty.
