Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Stepdown position requiring 2+ years of recent acute and ICU experience with prior travel assignment experience.

Details

  • Progressive Care Stepdown/Transitional unit within a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
  • Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
  • 30-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
  • Adult and geriatric patient population including STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG, acute respiratory failure, and atrial fibrillation with RVR
  • Uses Medhost EHR
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12s
  • Every other weekend required
  • Float requirements include Medical Surgical and Telemetry, as well as ED holds for patients awaiting admission
  • Call requirements apply, with a 30-minute response time when on call
  • No block scheduling requests accepted, though 48-hour blocks may be considered but not guaranteed

Requirements

  • Active AZ or Compact RN license required
  • 2+ years of recent acute care experience required
  • ICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • AHA certifications required

Additional Information

  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
