Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Ortho unit requiring a CO or compact RN license and 1+ years of specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Ortho unit setting (not Step-Down)
• 3x12hr Day shifts, 0700-1930
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required, must not expire prior to start date
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification required, must not expire prior to start date
• Current NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Ortho specialty required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, or supervision
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results through a specific vendor
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
