Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU RN)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit, specifically in an inpatient observation unit. This role is situated in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt to changing patient acuity and may involve floating to other areas of competency as needed.

Unit Information

The ICU RN will staff a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit, which includes medical beds and trauma overflow beds. This unit manages a range of patients from lower to higher acuity and mid holds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a dynamic environment.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding care processes and treatment options.
  • Document patient information accurately and promptly in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist with the training and support of less experienced staff members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar specialty in an acute care setting.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
  • TNCC certification is preferred.
