Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuroscience ICU position requiring strong critical care experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Neuroscience ICU (Lunder 6) caring for critically ill adult patients with neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, spinal cord injury, and multisystem organ involvement
• 24-bed unit with an average census of 22
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:2
• 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of strong critical care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Neuro critical care nursing experience preferred
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration through NURSYS and BON
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex neuroscience patients with multisystem involvement
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility and will receive a reduced rate
• Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
• Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid public parking is required near Boston-based sites
