Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week Level III Trauma Center assignment requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• Night shift schedule of 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• Day rotator positions may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts; night shift does not rotate
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Telemetry competency required, including ability to read telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
