Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a 20-bed Level III Trauma Center ICU requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24/7
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• 36 or 48-hour schedules available with EOW (every other weekend) requirement
• Day, evening, and night shifts available; Day positions rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a as needed
• Night shift does not rotate
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required, NURSYS and BON verification required, conditional licenses not accepted
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Work alongside attendings and residents present around the clock
