Description

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

  • 10-bed ICU within the float pool at a community hospital
  • Cares for critically ill adult patients including medical emergencies, post-surgical care, respiratory failure, and sepsis
  • Occasionally manages pediatric critical care patients requiring stabilization prior to transfer
  • Manages acute stroke patients through tele-stroke/neurology services as part of a Primary Stroke Center
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Every third weekend shift required
  • No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NH or Compact) required in hand
  • BLS and ACLS certification through the AHA required
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must complete Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing
  • COVID-19 vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to a diverse ICU patient population including medical, surgical, pediatric stabilization, and stroke cases
  • Support winter staffing needs within an 8-week assignment
  • No more than three days of RTO will be approved, and no holiday RTO will be approved
  • Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must observe a 6-month break before returning
  • Local candidates may be considered at a reduced bill rate
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate
