Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a float pool position on night shift, requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • 10-bed ICU within a Float Pool unit
  • Cares for critically ill adult patients including medical emergencies, post-surgical care, respiratory failure, and sepsis
  • Occasionally manages pediatric critical care patients requiring stabilization prior to transfer
  • Manages acute stroke patients as part of Primary Stroke Center services
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Required to work every third weekend

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NH or Compact) required in hand
  • 2+ years of ICU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
  • Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication testing
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

  • Provides critical care nursing across a variety of complex adult and occasional pediatric cases
  • Supports stroke care through tele-neurology services as part of a Primary Stroke Center
  • No on-call requirements
  • No more than three days of RTO will be approved, and no holiday RTO will be approved
  • Returning employees must complete a 6-month break between assignments at any facility within the health system
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius, and local candidates are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
